27/10 How to build an innovation culture
“The right culture can change the art of what is possible in the organisation”, Yves Pigneur. The author of The Invincible Company.
Let’s say your company is acing your current business. However, you know you need to innovate, and you understand you cannot cost-cut yourself into the future. You need to embrace a culture of rapid experimentation, failure, learning and adaptation when exploring ideas for the coming years and decades. So how do you go beyond nice words on walls and build a true innovation culture? How do you get legitimacy and power for innovation? And what shall you do about your current execution culture?
During this event, Andy Martiniello, the Head of Growth – Innovation Solutions at Strategyzer, will decipher how to intentionally discuss, capture, and design a company culture around innovation. He will also introduce the Strategyser’s tool called the Culture Map from one of their latest books, The Invincible Company. The Culture Map allows you to pinpoint the enablers, blockers, behaviour and outcomes that kill or promote the innovation culture.
If the name Strategyzer is new for you, you surely know about the Business Model Canvas, the concept pioneered by innovation thought leader Alex Osterwalder and defined in his first book Business Model Generation. When it comes to innovation management, Testing Business Ideas and The Invincible Company are must-reads.
